In the case of progressive moulds, if the lubricant used is a neat oil, a good roller lubricator is almost always the perfect answer: in fact, the adhesion of neat oil enables it to remain on the material throughout all the forming steps.
On the contrary, coolant lubricants and vanishing oils are subjected to more accentuated dripping and, after the first steps, the material remains inevitably lacking in lubricant, with negative consequences when it comes to production rates, mould duration and finish.
In these cases, the initial lubrication must be followed by additional lubrication in the mould positions (or profile) that require it, using our air-less spray systems that therefore do not form oil mists as a result.
